  • Vitola: Campana
  • Ring gauge: 52
  • Length: 5 ½ Inches / 140mm
  • Bolivar is the first non-Global brand to be invited to create a Reserva cigar. The brand's noted strength and depth of flavour are on full display but the extra age of the tobaccos used in the blend provide a subtlety and nuance only usually found in aged examples of the preeminent vitola from one of Cuba's Grande Marques.

  • Year: 2018
  • Flavour: Medium to Full
  • Vitola: Robusto
  • Ring gauge: 50
  • Length: 4 ⅞ Inches / 124mm
  • This classic vitola (shape) from the most prestigious Habanos brand is, for many smokers, the pinnacle of modern cigar-making in Cuba. Medium to Full bodied but the extra bale-aged tobaccos impart a depth and elegance that will draw you in and capture your attention for every minute of the half hour or so it takes to enjoy. A difficult to find but glorious cigar.
Epicure No.2

Epicure No.2

  • Year: 2016
  • Flavour: Light to Medium
  • Vitola: Robusto
  • Ring gauge: 50
  • Length: 4 ⅞ Inches / 124mm
  • For many people the Epicure No.2 is a long-established favourite and a popular ‘turn to’ cigar. So it is perhaps a little surprising it has taken so long to see the first Hoyo Reserva. On the evidence so far from its delayed appearance in 2018, it has been well worth the wait.
No.2

No.2

  • Brand: H. Upmann

  • Year: 2012
  • Flavour: Medium
  • Vitola: Julieta No.2
  • Ring gauge: 47
  • Length: 7 Inches / 178mm
  • Once one of the largest cigars available, this gentle giant now cuts a decidedly elegant and refined figure. It is at heart a polished cigar full of charm and grace. A wonderful way to celebrate Britain’s most famous cigar smoker.
No.4

No.4

  • Brand: Montecristo
  • Year: 2007
  • Flavour: Medium to Full
  • Vitola: Mareva
  • Ring gauge: 42
  • Length: 5 ⅛ Inches / 129mm
  • To take one of the most ubiquitous Havana cigars in the world and refine it to this level is an extraordinary ambition and one that, thankfully, is pulled off with aplomb. The quality of the tobacco shines through and elevates this classic cigar to a remarkable new height.
Serie D No.4

Serie D No.4

  • Brand: Partagás
  • Year: 2005
  • Flavour: Full
  • Vitola: Robusto
  • Ring gauge: 50
  • Length: 4 ⅞ Inches / 124mm
  • The power and intensity is still in abundance but the extra aged tobaccos used in this cigar provide a rare smoothness and subtlety to the smoke. An iron fist in a velvet glove.
Espléndido

Espléndido

  • Brand: Cohiba
  • Year: 2003
  • Flavour: Medium to Full
  • Vitola: Julieta No.2
  • Ring gauge: 47
  • Length: 7 Inches / 178mm
  • For many years the Cohiba Espledido was the epitome of ebullience and luxury. Although modern tastes for cigar shapes may not regularly include Cohiba’s Churchill sized offering, there is no doubt that this regal cigar is still an enthralling hour and a half spent in the company of one of Cuba’s finest. From the very top draw.
Pirámide

Pirámide

  • Brand: Cohiba
  • Year: 2003
  • Flavour: Medium to Full
  • Vitola: Pirámide
  • Ring gauge: 52
  • Length: 6 ⅛ Inches / 156mm
  • At the time of release the Pirámides was the pick of the bunch within the Selección box for many people. The ensuing years have done nothing to dampen that original assessment and it has now developed a near cult status among some smokers.
Corona Especial

Corona Especial

  • Brand: Cohiba
  • Year: 2003
  • Flavour: Medium to Full
  • Vitola: Laguito No.2
  • Ring gauge: 38
  • Length: 6 Inches / 152mm
  • One of the original sizes of Cohibas that were launched in 1982, it is perhaps sometimes overshadowed by some of the newer and larger format cigars within the range. However, this slender and elegant looking cigar has enough power and depth to capture the attention of any cigar smoker. A cigar with the well-earned status of classic.
Robusto

Robusto

  • Brand: Cohiba
  • Year: 2003
  • Flavour: Medium to Full
  • Vitola: Robusto
  • Ring gauge: 50
  • Length: 4 ⅞ Inches / 124mm
  • This squat cigar, measuring just under 5 inches, can surprise people with the intensity of its flavour. Made using the Linea Classica blend of leaves, to a medium full flavour profile, the Robusto Reserva is a wonderfully constructed cigar that has maintained its consistency over the years.
Read About Reservas

The Reserva classification signifies that all the tobacco used has been aged in bales for a minimum of three years before the cigars were made.

There are generally presented in the “flagship” sizes for specific Global Brands and are released in limited numbers.

Each Reserva is made available in 5000 numbered lacquered boxes each containing 20 cigars. 100,000 cigars are produced for each release in total for the world market.

Each cigar  bears a second “Reserva” band on it and its box includes a leaflet describing the date of the “cosecha” (harvest), from which all of the leaves used have been taken.

Since 2012 a Reserva cigar has been released by Habanos S.A. biennially.
