What do you enjoy most about working with cigars?

The opportunity it gives me to take new cigar smokers into the journey of smoking and enjoying cigars and helping them to build their knowledge and palate.

What first interested you in cigars?

To be fair I just stepped into the cigar world by coincidence, and having my first cigar while talking about the beauty of the world of Habanos I guess just arouse an interest that I had no idea that ever existed.

Do you remember your first cigar?

Of course! It was a Por Larrañaga Petit Coronas at Hunters and Frankau training

What is the best piece of advice you have for someone just starting to smoke cigars?

Take your time, as long as you need. Smoking a cigar is a journey, your moment to relax and to enjoy the journey and also to always try different cigars, starting from something light and build the palate from there on.

What are your favourite three cigars?

Always a tricky question this one. Standard production I would say Ramon Allones Specially Selected, Trinidad Fundadores and Partagas Lusitania. However the RA H&F 225 is in my memory until today (I know you said 4, but I couldn’t leave the last one out of the list).

Has becoming a Master in Havana Cigars helped you in your profession?

Sure it did! It gives me more knowledge and confidence and I am sure professionally it will open many more doors.
