What do you enjoy most about working with cigars?

The environment and the passion that gather together people with the same interest.

What first interested you in cigars?

I started to be interested in cigars very young then when I joined the garden room (The Lanesborough) I was impressed with the variety of brands and different flavours of cigars.

Do you remember your first cigar?

Of course! My previous manager Luca Tramontana (also a Master of Havana Cigars) gave me my first real cigar which was a Ramon Allones specially selected, not exactly a beginner's smoke...

What is the best piece of advice you have for someone just starting to smoke cigars?

Don't do what I did... Start with a reasonable size that you can enjoy entirely and a light flavour profile. After, explore different sizes and flavours to find your palate.

What are your favourite three cigars?

Por Larrañaga Petit Corona, Cohiba Lanceros and Bolivar Royal Corona.

Has becoming a Master in Havana Cigars helped you in your profession?

It has given me knowledge and helped me professionally. But I am lucky enough to work with people that have so much still to teach me.
