Wentworth Opens Up.
Wentworth Club is hosting a cigar and champagne evening on Tuesday 5th October. This event offers a unique opportunity for non-members to visit one of the spiritual homes of golf and enjoy an evening of tutored tastings in the Ryder & Curtis Cup Rooms.
Jemma Freeman (Managing Director of Hunters & Frankau) shall be in attendance and accompanied by Simon Chase (ex-Marketing Director for Hunters & Frankau) in order to introduce two fine Habanos cigars with Richard Lewis of Laurent Perrier presenting the champagnes. There will also be a variety of canapés on offer throughout the evening.
Hamlet Jaime Paredes shall also be in residence, offering a demonstration of the fine art of cigar rolling. Senor Paredes is visiting the UK from Cuba where he works as a ninth grade roller (the highest achievable grade) in the prestigious Romeo Y Julieta shop in Havana.
The cigars selected for the occasion are the Romeo Y Julieta Short Churchill (4 7/8” x 50 ring gauge) and the Cohiba Siglo VI (5 7/8” x 52). They shall be paired with the Laurent Perrier Rosé and the Laurent Perrier Grand Siècle.
The event is scheduled for two hours, between 6:30 and 8:30 and tickets are available for £45.00 p/p.
Tickets are limited, so to make reservations, contact Jo Mcloughlin, the Club Events Manager, on 01344 846 340 or email clubevents@wentorthclub.com.
