Ramón Allones, one of the oldest Cuban cigar brands still in production, will be celebrated across the United Kingdom from 10th to 14th November 2025.
Established in 1837 by brothers Antonio and Ramón Allones, the brand began in the historic La Eminencia Factory in Havana. Over the decades, Ramón Allones has earned a reputation for innovation, often credited with pioneering the use of colour lithography on cigar box labels, and many also believe the brand was responsible for producing the first 8-9-8 boxes of cigars.
In 1908, ownership of Ramón Allones passed to Allones Limited, a company connected to one of the founders of what would later become Hunters & Frankau. The brand was later sold in 1927 to the Partagás Factory, where production continues to this day.
With such deep-rooted historical links to Hunters & Frankau, Ramón Allones has often been selected in the past to mark significant milestones and important celebrations. One such time was when Habanos Regional Editions were first pioneered and H&F who were partners in the project proposed the brand to what then became the world’s first ever Habanos Regional Edition: 2004/2005 UK Ramón Allones Belicosos. Other notable examples of the company’s historical links with this legendary marque include Ramón Allones 225 Aniversario in 2015 to celebrate H&F’s 225th anniversary and the same principle in 2020 for their 230th with Ramón Allones Private Stock 230.
During the week of 10th – 14th November 2025, celebration of the Ramón Allones brand include over 50 events hosted across the UK by Habanos Specialist outlets, including special evenings in London, Edinburgh, Belfast, and Cardiff. At the tasting events, the featured cigar will be the UK release of the 2024 Habanos Limited Edition Ramón Allones Absolutos.
The Absolutos measures an impressive 6 1/8″ (156mm) x 49 ring gauge and is a brand new vitola in the Habanos portfolio. The size is referred to as a Nuevos in the cigar factories of Cuba and the cigars are presented in beautiful boxes carrying 20 double-banded hand-crafted works of art. The Ramón Allones brand has been selected on three previous occasions to participate in the prestigious Habanos Limited Edition series – Allones Extra (2011), Club Allones (2015) and Allones No. 2 (2019). All were extremely well received and remain highly coveted today
Throughout the week, aficionados will also have the chance to enjoy and celebrate the much-loved Ramón Allones Specially Selected and Small Club Coronas vitolas through exclusive promotions and tastings.
