Once again the latest addition to the Añejado series comes from one of Habanos’s Global Brands and is presented in a size not found within the standard range.
Añejado translates as ‘aged’ and, in this instance, indicates that the cigars have been aged, in Cuba for between five and eight years, before being shipped to distributors (such as Hunters & Frankau) around the world. The extra age should have allowed the cigar time to mellow, rounding off much of the vigour of youth and bringing a more balanced, refined and floral smoke.

The Cuban cigar industry has a tradition of ageing the tobacco in bales rather than the final cigar and so the Añejado series offers an extremely rare opportunity to discover how Havana cigars develop and change when stored in their natural environment over a period of time.
