An independent wine and spirit merchant has expanded there range of Havana cigars due to a sharp increase in levels of interest and purchases from their customers.
Oakham Wines owner, Harish Khanderia, explained that the investment in stocking new lines for his business was paramount to keeping up with the current market demand.
“Oakham Wines has stocked Havana cigars for many years now but I have always concentrated on tubed cigars,” states Mr Khanderia. “ I have noticed that recently my customers are looking for different brands, different pack sizes and something a little more unique. Therefore, it was a natural decision to add additional non tubed lines. We have made this a focus point of our shop now with the new free standing humidor – it makes a great impression and the response has been brilliant.”
Mr Khanderia continued “Customers will now be able to find brands such as Trinidad and Vegueros in stock as well as the big brands like that of Montecristo and Cohiba. We also have Selection boxes available and a range of accessories and will constantly be looking to add new lines to keep our customers happy.”
Oakham Wines has now become part of the Specialist in Habanos network due to the increased range of cigars. Havana Cigar Specialists are shops that meet the qualifying standards set by Habanos S.A and Hunters & Frankau Ltd which, in turn, guarantee to consumers a wide range of brands and vitolas (sizes) that are stored in optimum conditions with expert advise on hand if needed.
