
El Habano Moderno: A Collector’s Guide to Cuban Cigars of the Modern Era
Alexander Groom, the man behind the encyclopaedic and preeminent website, cubancigarwebsite.com, has released a new book, El Habano Moderno: A Collector’s Guide to Cuban Cigars of the Modern Era. It is now on general sale and available to buy online, direct from his publisher, Helios House Press.
The book was launched via a Kickstarter campaign in 2022, with the first copies arriving to backers in July of 2023.
At just under 700 pages long, and divided into two parts, it seems sure to become a must-have reference tool for all Havana cigar enthusiasts around the world.
The first part gives a history Cuban cigar industry that concludes with today’s market, It also has detailed explanations of the various processes that go into cigar production as well as in-depth descriptions of the various details and methods to be used when dating and authenticating Cuban cigars.
The second part presents detailed information on every Cuban cigar produced in the modern era, beginning in the early 2000s and concluding with the text of the book being finalised in mid-2022. Over 1,000 Havana cigars are featured and illustrated with high-quality photographs. This section also includes details related to sizes, packaging, release dates and quantities produced, as well as interesting information and trivia.
Two editions of El Habano Moderno are available to purchase.
