The Cohiba Ambar is now available in the UK.
Cohiba is Cuba’s premier cigar house and has a presidential lineage, having originally been developed for Fidel Castro himself. It is the only Habanos brand that includes a special ‘extra fermentation’, conducted on the Seco and Ligero leaves, in cedar barrels. This extra ageing creates a unique smoothness in the blend and has helped establish Cohiba as a worldwide symbol of excellence. Since its creation in 1966 the brand has grown to include four Líneas; Classica, 1492, Maduro 5 and Behike, each with a distinct character and taste.
The Cohiba Ambar is the first addition to the brand’s Línea Classica since the 2012 introduction of the Pirámides Extra. The medium-to-full bodied blend of this línea is closest to the original Cohiba taste, first introduced to the world in 1982 with the launch of the Lancero, Corona Especial and the Panatela.
Called a Placeres in the factories of Cuba, this new cigar is a unique size within the Habanos SA portfolio. It measures 5 ¼” (132mm) x 53 ring gauge and is finished with a pig-tail cap.
