Cask 23 (formally 23 Wine & Whiskey) have opened Leicester’s first cigar sampling lounge.
The shop has undergone a major refurbishment and has been updated with a fresh new design. This refit includes a new, fully stocked walk-in humidor and cosy sampling lounge in the basement.
Business owner, Nilesh Vadoliya believes this next step is in line with his customers’ expectations and requirements.
“We have been established in the heart of Leicester city centre for many years now and have built up a loyal customer base,” comments Nilesh. “One thing that we noticed that Leicester is lacking is a sampling lounge and we wanted to ensure that our customers, new and existing, are able to enjoy their cigar purchases in a comfortable and relaxed environment.”
The walk-in humidor has a comprehensive selection of Havana cigars including all the major brands. Cohiba, Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta, Partagas, Hoyo de Monterrey and H. Upmann are all well represented, as are many niche brands such as Quai D’Orsay and Diplomáticos. There are also some rare and vintage lines available, all kept in perfect condition.
Nilesh goes on to say:
“In addition, we have held cigar tasting events before but have always had to hold them off-site. Our new sampling lounge now enables us to do these events on-site. Our first event will be held on Wednesday 6th March across two time slots to ensure we can accommodate as many people as possible. We have selected a great champagne and Cuban cigar to have for this special occasion so please get in touch to book your place.”
