For nearly 140 years Gauntleys of Nottingham has been a family run specialist cigar and tobacco merchant. Most recently John Gauntleys’ sons Sam and Tom, have joined the family firm, being the fifth generation to do so.
Sam is focused primarily on the fine wine offering while Tom is looking at the premium cigar market.
The shop now has a selection of over 200 handmade cigars alongside over 500 spirits, including 300 malt whiskies and over 60 gins. The brothers are confident that there is something for all tastes, palates, occasions and budgets.
They have also been instrumental in developing the shop’s online offering, the most recent of which focuses on Cohiba (view link), as well as arranging a series of recent cigar tasting events, in partnership with local businesses.
With a long history that they are rightly proud of, it is clear that the newest generation of Gauntleys to take stewardship of the business also have their eyes firmly set on the future.
