What do you enjoy most about working with cigars?

What I love most is how dynamic cigars are. They might look similar on the outside, but each has a distinct flavor profile that evolves with aging. I really enjoy exploring those subtle nuances and sharing that journey with people by guiding them to their perfect smoke.

What first interested you in cigars?

Honestly, I got into cigars purely because of work. Before I started, I had never even smoked one in my life. But once I was introduced to the industry, I quickly became fascinated by the sheer depth, craftsmanship, and culture behind every single stick.

Do you remember your first cigar?

It was a Montecristo No. 5 on my very first day of training.

What is the best piece of advice you have for someone just starting to smoke cigars?

Always enjoy a good meal beforehand, and never smoke on an empty stomach I actually learned that lesson the hard way when I first started! I also advise beginners to take their time and not rush. Avoid picking cigars that are too large or full-bodied right away. Start light, explore step by step, and gradually find what suits your palate.

What are your favourite three cigars?

It’s hard to pick just three my favourites change all the time depending on the mood, the weather, or what I’m drinking! But if I had to choose, the Bolivar Coronas Junior is perfect for a quick coffee break it’s rich, bold, and pairs amazingly well with coffee. Vegas Robaina is fantastic for its rich complexity, offering a delightfully sweet and nutty profile with warm hints of cinnamon. And lastly, the Quai d’Orsay No. 50 is my ultimate go-to cigar. It’s light-bodied, delicate, and floral, offering an exceptionally smooth smoke.

Has becoming a Master in Havana Cigars helped you in your profession?

Yes, absolutely. It deepened my knowledge significantly and gave me so much confidence to guide clients with genuine expertise.
