Hunters & Frankau proudly attended the Ignite Show which celebrated the Association’s 50th anniversary of A.I.T.S (Association of Independent Tobacco Specialists).
At this year’s show, Hunters & Frankau showcased a combination of new product launches and special promotions.
Three Habanos new to the UK were showcased: Romeo y Julieta Sport Largos (4 1/2” (117mm) x 35), Rafael Gonzalez Panetelas Extra (5” (127mm) x 37), and Fonseca Delicias (4 3/4” (123mm) x 40). With flavour profiles that appeal to a wide range of smokers, these vitolas offer an excellent choice for those seeking an enjoyable smoke in under thirty minutes.
Positioned at an accessible and affordable price point, these cigars are expected to attract both new aficionados and seasoned connoisseurs alike.
The A.I.T.S put together a full three-day itinerary for the Ignite Show, beginning on Friday with a welcome evening where Hunters & Frankau and other trade sponsors welcomed members of the UK trade.
On Saturday, trade visitors to the Hunters & Frankau stand had the opportunity to take part in a competitive blind tasting, in which they were challenged to identify an unbanded Habano. From sixty participants, thirteen correctly guessed the brand and the size: Vegas Robaina Famosos who claimed their prize of a newly released book about the history of the Montecristo brand, an EMS cutter and lighter set and a tasting notebook.
On Sunday, Hunters & Frankau presented a lecture celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Cuaba brand which ended with guests sampling a Cuaba Tradicionales paired with Champagne.
The three days provided a valuable opportunity to meet representatives from the cigar trade across the UK in a spirit of camaraderie, friendship, and, of course, Havana cigars.
