On 30th April at the Bulgari Hotel London, the UK Masters of Havana Cigars were invited by Hunters & Frankau and Dalmore to participate in a tutored tasting session of some very special whiskies followed by a pairing with an iconic Habanos.
Craig Swindell, Brand Ambassador for the prestigious Dalmore brand led the educational masterclass where all participants had the opportunity to discover the history of the brand, modern production techniques and explore the unique characteristics of five different Dalmore expressions.
The session included a journey through the evolution of flavour in this exquisite single malt range, beginning with The Dalmore Port Wood, followed by The Dalmore 18-Year-Old and The Dalmore 21-Year-Old.
The final two expressions were Dalmore Cigar Malt Reserve and The Dalmore King Alexander III. If that was not special enough, these two amazing liquids were paired with a legendary Habanos, the iconic Partagás Lusitanias, which provided all the Masters with over an hour of contemplation, discussion, exploration and enjoyment.
The tasting with Dalmore is one of many previous tutored sessions dating back to 2013 that Hunters & Frankau have organised for the Masters of Havana Cigars. Others have included presentations by guest speakers on Havana cigar history, cigar and drinks pairings, blind tastings and explorations of the global cigar market.
